Transcriber’s Notes

This e-text is based on ‘The Harmonicon, Part the First,’ from1833. Inconsistent spelling and hyphenation have been retained, butpunctuation and typographical errors have been corrected. Uncommon andoutdated spelling has not been altered.

In the table of contents, the ‘Foreign Musical Reports’ forthe towns of Marienburg and Nurenberg have no correlation to anypassages in the text. In some tables, the numbering of items seemsto be incorrect. Since the source of error cannot be determined, thenumbering scheme has been retained.

‘Months’ have been printed at the bottom of the pages in theoriginal. These references have been changed into side notes at the topof the corresponding page for each new month.
